Everyone is welcome at United Church of Wayland!  No matter what economic status, race or gender identity, all are welcome.  There is no test of faith and once you've attended a few times, you are considered a member of the United Church of Wayland.

Our worship service is friendly and informal.  We love to sing and our music is led by our team of two guitar players and four singers.  We would love to add a piano player so if you can play  . . .

Communion is the highpoint of our worship service and we serve Holy Communion every week; we would feel worship was incomplete without this.  Everyone is welcome at the Table, even little children.  It is our understanding that if Jesus could serve Peter, who denied him and Judas, who betrayed him, we must be as welcoming as Jesus was.   

 

Children remain in the sanctuary during the worship service.  They may be seated with their parents or make use of the crafts provided in a portion of the sanctuary set aside for them. They are often asked to participate in the worship service by lighting candles or helping to serve communion.  Please don't be concerned if your children are not totally quiet, we love a joyful noise!
